A banner can be considered a flag or other little bit of cloth bearing symbolic, brand, slogan or other meaning. A flag whose design is equivalent to the shield in a overcoat of forearms (but usually in a square or rectangular form) is named a banner of biceps and triceps. Also, a pub form little bit of non-cloth advertising materials having a name, slogan, or other marketing concept.

The term derives from French term “banni?re” and later Latin bandum, a material out which a flag is manufactured (Latin: banderia, Italian: bandiera, Portuguese: bandeira, Spanish: bandera). The German terminology developed the term to mean the official edict or proclamation and since such written requests often prohibited some type of individual activity, bandum assumed this is of an ban, control, interdict or excommunication. Banns gets the same origin signifying the official proclamation, and reject methods to change commitment or disobey purchases, semantically “to leave the fabric or flag”.
